Subconscious Ideas for the Music Video (Props)

After our pitch we had a discussion that lead to the idea of subconsciously having props on the set that would symbolise the heartbreak we felt the song contained. The first thing suggested was Jammy Dodgers, and we then came up with confetti that was shaped as hearts. I then when further into this idea and thought in a scene the character that is suffering the heartbreak could have a hot drink that has a heart shape on top, which could have been created by chocolate sprinkled on top of the drink. The drink could then be stirred causing the heart to disappear suggesting his love has gone for his girlfriend.



I feel that having some props that have a heart design or shape involved with it would create a deeper meaning to the parts of the music video and not all viewers may realise that it was intentional unless some props such as love hearts were used as it will make it seem a little “cheesy”.
